This case study highlights the successful delivery of an enterprise IT infrastructure installation, where InstallTech engineers managed the secure transport, rack and stack installation, and deployment of mission-critical hardware within a data centre environment. Working closely with the client’s technical teams, the project ensured the infrastructure was installed, configured and ready to support critical workloads.
Build on-prem sites capable of hosting demanding sports betting, online casino and other iGaming platforms in cooperation with Continent8 and iGaming partners in regulatory-certified DC sites.
Objectives
Build and maintain multiple iGaming DC sites across the USA
Implement active/standby/backup solutions per site
Maintain, monitor and manage both sites to ensure zero downtime
Comply with iGaming state regulatory requirements
Scope of work
Architecture, procurement and delivery of hardware components, including compute, storage and network stack
Rack, stack, and patch all the cabling according to customer specifications and industry standards
Perform pre-configuration of all the hardware components
Design and implement off-site backups and standby sites
In some cases, depending on the regulation, the design and implementation of a hybrid solution, AWS Cloud plus on-prem satellite/outpost
Implement a security layer based on Cloudflare services
Proactively monitor and service parts of the hardware and connectivity
Support all onsite jobs, hardware maintenance, and new installations
Lielise and manage local suppliers, ISPs and partners in each location

Summary
The solution has been successfully deployed in more than ten States (Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee). Ongoing maintenance, including full hardware replacement every life cycle (3 years), pro-active monitoring, site maintenance, and remote hands, capacity planning. On top of that, Cloudflare solutions (DDoS, WAF, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, Zero Trust, etc.) were implemented to enhance security.
