Data Centre Installation for Major iGaming Provider

This case study highlights a large-scale rack and stack deployment within an enterprise data centre, delivered by InstallTech engineers. The project involved installing and organising server infrastructure, networking equipment and cabling to ensure the environment was fully prepared for production workloads with minimal disruption.

Server rack and stack

Architecture and build on-prem sites capable of hosting demanding sports betting, online casino, and other iGaming platforms in cooperation with the Internet Vikings colocation partner. Implement a dedicated line providing secure communication between UK based customer and the Hong Kong Datacentre. 

Objectives

  • Build and maintain iGaming DC sites for Asian customers

  • Locations: Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong

  • Implement active/active high availability zones with real-time data replication between Taiwan and Singapore

  • Build a secure, dedicated link between Hong Kong DC and London Equnix DC

  • Maintain, monitor and manage both sites to ensure zero downtime

Scope of work

  • Architecture, procurement and delivery of hardware components, including compute, storage and network stack

  • Rack, stack, and patch all the cabling according to customer specifications and industry standards

  • Perform pre-configuration of all the hardware components

  • Design and implement off-site backups and standby sites

  • Proactively monitor and service parts of the hardware and connectivity

  • Support all onsite jobs, hardware maintenance, and new installations

  • Implement a security layer based on Cloudflare services

  • Lielise and manage local suppliers, ISPs and partners in each location

Summary

Delivered a very demanding project to build a number of iGaming hosting infrastructures across Asia in close collaboration with customer vendors, partners and end customers. Navigating complex regulatory and government requirements in each location.
